| The Creature Teacher was created in 1996 in Garden Grove, California as a unique way to expose children to exotic animals and enhance interest in science. The owner, Robyn Wheeler, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and a Vocational Teaching Credential from California State University Long Beach. Robyn worked as an animal caregiver at Disneyland's Circle D Corral for 11 years, was an Animal Control Officer for 2 years and taught ROP Animal Care for the city of Garden Grove for 5 years. She also volunteered at Friends of the Sea Lion Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach for 6 years. She moved to Texas in 2001 and lives on 9 acres with her husband, Ron and a calico cat named Zoey. |

| PHOTO SESSIONS AVAILABLE for birthday parties or company advertisement. We have optional photo session packages for your child's next birthday party. Every child will have his or her picture taken while holding an animal. Use the photo as a goody bag item or send in a thank you note. You supply the camera and shoot away! | AGE RESTRICTIONS All shows presented by The Creature Teacher are designed for children 3 years of age and older. We realize that as a parent or instructor you would like to see all children participate in our show. However, for the health and safely of your child and our animals, children under 3 years of age are excluded from touching the animals due to the following reasons: * they tend to have high, shrill voices and sudden movements that will scare the animals. * they tend to freguently put their fingers in their months making it unsanitary for other children to pet the animals after they do.. * content of shows is too difficult for their level of comprehension and attention span is at a minimum * they tend to pull the animals hair and tails rather than gently petting with one finger * they are unable to use hand sanitizer on their own or sit criss-cross applesauce. We appreciate your cooperation on this matter and should infants and toddlers be present at your party, school or scheduled event please make sure they are supervised by an adult and have an age appropriate activity to occupy them during The Creature Teacher show (libraries excluded from a seperate activity).Please inform you party guests of this rule so it is not a surprise at the time of the show. | PHOTOS NEEDED!! Do you have a cute, unique or special photo of a Creature Teacher show or event? Want to see your childs face or party on this website? If so, we would like to use your photo to update this website. (It is very difficult to take photos and give a presentation at the same time.) Photos needed include: birthday party (and photo session) pictures, school assembly and small group photos as well as photos of the animals. Please email your photos to Creeturet@aol.com. Any photos mailed to the Creature TEacher will become property of The Creature Teacher and may be used on website pages as well as promotion material however all names and personal information of children in the photos will be not be made public. |
